Construction starts on the Felicity Centre in Lublin

16/04/2008

Warsaw, April 16, 2008. Company C.H. Felin signed a contract with the first construction contractor for the Felicity Shopping and Entertainment Centre in Lublin. The winning bidder for the construction of Real and Leroy Merlin hypermarket buildings is Warbud S.A. Buildings of an aggregate area of around 30,000 m2 will be erected in 12 months for a price of 75 million PLN.
Gray International, developer of the Felicity Centre, plans to select the remaining contractors in the next two months.
Due to the magnitude of the undertaking (the total area of the Centre including underground car-parks will be ca. 250,000 m2), in the course of negotiations between the investor and the contractors, the final project completion date has been realistically postponed. Bovis Lend Lease, in its capacity as the Construction Manager, has scheduled the Felicity opening date for spring 2010.
Construction of the Felicity Centre with letting area of 100.000 m2 is now the largest shopping and entertainment project in the east of Poland. Anchor tenants include hypermarkets Real, Leroy Merlin and Electro World, and a 10-screen Multikino cinema complex. The Centre will also house around 260 shops and boutiques, 25 cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as leisure and entertainment functions. The accompanying car-park will accommodate ca. 3000 vehicles.
