Gray International will build the largest shopping center in Poland’s eastern regions.
Gray International has received a building permit for the construction of the Felicity Shopping Center in Lublin and plans to select the general contractor by the end of the year. The investor wants to open the regional commercial and entertainment centre, whose catchment area is populated by over 1.2 million people, in the fall of 2008. The total value of the investment is estimated at zl. 500 million.
The first stage of the project, including a shopping center with a total commercial area of 120,000 sqm, will occupy some 11 hectares out of the total 20-hectare plot. The rest of the plot will be devoted to greenery.
“We are going to observe the demand of the market and make the decisions on additional developments in due time. Currently, Felicity will be one of the most eagerly awaited investment projects in Lublin. There is no other investment of a comparable size anywhere along the eastern border of Poland,” says Elżbieta Brzozowska form Gray International.
The leased space of the center will amount to 100,000 sqm.
It will include : a Geant hypermarket with a floor area of 13,000 sqm; furniture stores; a DIY, consumer electronics and household appliances outlet, occupying a total of 37,000 sqm; as well as a multi-screen cinema with a large auditorium. The shopping mall will host 190 shops and service outlets as well as 15 bars and restaurants. The center will also have tow car-parks providing 3,000 parking spaces.
