Real and Leroy Merlin to anchor Felicity

Gray International sp. z o.o., developer of the regional shopping centre Felicity now being built in Lublin, is pleased to announce the acquisition of another tenant – Leroy Merlin DIY hypermarket. At present, the DIY chain has 21 stores in Poland, but so far it has been missing from the Lublin province. In Felicity, Leroy Merlin will occupy 11,000sqm, and will form an integral part of the shopping mall.
Felicity’s next anchor tenant beside Leroy Merlin will be a Real hypermarket. Having taken over Géant stores, Real has become one of the leading retail chains in Poland. In Felicity, Real will take up around 13,000sqm.
Gray International has selected a winning tender for the general contractor for the infrastructure and external roads. The contract for PLN 57m was awarded to Strabag. The earthworks contract, in turn, was awarded to the Lublin-based Sztyrlic company.
By the end of June this year, Gray International will select a winning bid-tender for the general contactor the centre’s buildings.
For the time being, Felicity is going to be the largest building site in Poland, and upon its completion it will become the third largest shopping and entertainment centre in the country. The opening of the 200,000sqm centre is planned for spring 2009.
